First prize for Lot 2 on Struma Motorway in INFRASTRUCTURE BULGARIA AWARDS 2016

The project Struma Motorway, Lot 2, Dupnitsa - Blagoevgrad Road Section won the first prize in the category “Transport Road Infrastructure” within the INFRASTRUCTURE BULGARIA AWARDS 2016 initiative for outstanding contribution to the development of public infrastructure in Bulgaria.

The Employer of the project is Road Infrastructure Agency. The project contractors are GBS-Infrastructure Construction and PATSTROY-92 AD. The prize winners including Dr.Eng. Petko Nikolov, Executive Director of PATSTROY-92, received honorary plaquettes from the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Mr. Ivaylo Moskovski.

The initiative was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Ministry of Environment and Water. The City Media Group organized the event. 48 projects, which had been executed in the period 2013 - 2015, were nominated. A thirty-member competent jury comprising representatives of leading professional, academic and sectoral organizations determined the awards in 8 categories for the best projects implemented and put into operation within this period.
