Patstroy-92 presents Internship Programme 2022 to UACEG students

June 2022

Patstroy-92 AD and other companies from GEOTECHMIN GROUP presented opportunities for summer internships and career development at a meeting with students from the University of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy (UACEG).

The event was organized with the kind assistance of Prof. Dr. Eng. Slaveyko Gospodinov – Vice-Rector of UACEG, Prof. Dr. Eng. Rumen Milanov – a longtime lecturer at UACEG and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Patstroy-92, and the Human Resources Department at Geotechmin OOD.

As a direct participant in the educational process and a 20-year lecturer in the Faculty of Transportation Engineering at UACEG, while simultaneously being a business official and a longtime senior manager at GEOTECHMIN GROUP, Prof. Dr. Eng. Rumen Milanov presented the Group as one of the most stable and reliable employers in Bulgaria and welcomed every young person who wants to develop professionally.

The Executive Director of Patstroy-92 M.Eng. Alexander Velev, a graduate of UACEG, acquainted the students with the company’s activities. ‘Patstroy-92 owns significant production facilities, specialized equipment and technologies necessary to execute all stages of the construction process. We are looking for UACEG undergraduate or graduate students to join our team and participate in the construction of Road I-1 (E-79) Mezdra – Botevgrad, Lot 1,’ said M.Eng. Alexander Velev.

Nikol Nikolova, an intern at the company in 2021, shared the following experience with her fellow students, ‘I applied to Patstroy-92, because they offered me an internship specializing in land surveying under the project Mezdra – Botevgrad, Lot 1. I learned more this summer, developed new skills and acquired valuable hands-on experience in a wider perspective than in my university courses. I think that the most useful thing, which we as students can get from internship programmes, is to find ourselves in them, to try everything they offer for development and see where we feel most comfortable and continue our professional advancement. Such an internship motivates to learn a lot, because the academic knowledge we gain at UACEG correlates with the activities performed on the building site. Therefore it makes sense to move forward in the profession.’

The meeting ended with an informal discussion and answering students’ questions about the presented career development opportunities.
